Hoy started in 2023 as the evolving electronic/dark wave musical project by Carl Sjöström. Being a member of the EBM/synth band Scapa Flow since late 1980s, Hoy is the solo project dedicated to exploring boundaries for musical genres as well as personal expressions.
The 9 songs on the first releases in summer 2024 - the couple of "The Animals EP:s" - were written during the last decade, reflected in a variety of techniques, harmonies and instrumentation, yet homogenic in sound and expression.
January 2025, Hoy releases 2 instrumental tracks. Further material will be finished in the course of 2025, showing new collaborations.
